Autumn News Bulletin 2019
It’s been a long hot summer and the 3equals 1 team have enjoyed signing off some great work, catching up with our favourite industry friends and taking a few well deserved holidays! Find out what we’ve been up to:
Happy Maz Day!
It was our team captain, Maz's birthday this month and she's had a week of celebrations, of course! With her big personality and even bigger heart she always shows the team a good time for any special occasion, so she really does deserve to be spoilt rotten!
Natalie also shares a September birthday and equally big party plans!
Apparently being a Libra is all about balance!
We couldn't let our incredible courtyard go to waste this summer so we had no better excuse than to get some of our nearest and dearest round for a little BBQ and a few drinks! We're so fortunate to have such an awesome group of clients, colleagues and friends! We had a blast, thanks to all that made it!
We had the the pleasure of designing the showroom for our good friends at Saville Row Projects! With the loose brief of 'peaky blinders' 3e1 were tasked with bringing together collections from the 3 brands that share the space.
Get in touch with SRP to take a tour and check out their products and our handy work!
We had lots of fun designing the first Co-working space for Lincoln city to help the city foster some of the best tech grad talent! Our scheme incorporates a cafe style hotdesking lounge for buzz and energy with 1st floor dedicated desk and private office space.
Keep your eyes peeled for our final project images
To Do #whatsinthepipeline
We're excited to get our teeth stuck in to a new project, refurbishing the HQ for one of the top sandwich chains (excuse the pun!). Looking forward to adding some 3equals1 ingredients into the mix.
London Design Festival
3e1 made a B - line for 100% Design to scout out the latest commercially focused products for our upcoming projects and discover any emerging trends.
We felt this year that sustainability was certainly much more at the forefront of conversation with manufacturers at the show We especially loved Benchmarks Sage seat. Made from 100% natural, sustainable and biodegradable materials developed in collaboration with Natualmat - a great replacement for synthetic foam.
This year we saw a particular increase in Scandinavian brands as well as scandi influenced products. With the ever increasing popularity of creating spaces to promote wellness in the office and incorporate elements of biophilic design - the inherent streamline shapes, neutral colors and natural materials of Scandinavian style has got some staying power / not just a 2019 trend.
Overall we felt although sustainability stole the show (which we are certainly all for!) we didn't feel there were any groundbreaking themes, technology or new innovative ideas this year. Also as a small team that relies on creating awesome 3d renders against the clock, we were disappointed that many of the emerging brands did not have any 3D blocks for their collections.
Talks Inspired by HB Reavis
3equals1 were thrilled to be invited to another thought provoking ‘Talks’ event hosted
by HB Reavis! Speakers covered hot topics on lifestyle vs work life which looked to
the future of ‘workstyle’, discussed the recipe to creating a start- up ecosystem that
highlighted the importance of proximity and ‘the watercooler’ chat and we also heard
from the founder of ‘Mosa Meat’, a self confessed meat lover cum environmentalist
who has developed a ‘beef’ burger without sending a single cow to slaughter!(or the
worlds first slaughter-free meat). Find out more about this event
If you haven't already guessed, we're a social bunch! Keep updated on our social media channels. latest projects, parties, talks and showroom visits!

We’re all going on a…
After a busy start to the year the 3e1 team were in need of a holiday or 3! Weddings, festivals, Birthdays and some much needed relaxation got us to dust off our passports and stick on our out of office!
Although we all downed tools our design brains were still in gear and we couldn't help getting some inspiration from our beautiful surroundings.
