#makingworklive

Employing a unique, inclusive methodology allows us to create exciting environments that are #makingworklive for our clients.

Taking inspiration from leaders in education and technology, 3equals1 creates durable spaces that primarily work for their clients' needs but also sit ahead of the curve.

Our human-centered, organic approach to workplace design guarantees that clients get properly involved in the process.

We are inspired by the way people utilise their spaces and strive to create the best environments possible by researching in depth the psychological and physical aspects.

By analysing data, we can incorporate workplace strategy into our approach. Whether it's through Interviewing staff, performing storage audits, or simply talking to people anecdotally, we obtain a deep understanding of how people and departments within an organisation interact and work together.

Observation is key in ensuring the design of an office enhances the working environment and the experience of those within it.

Meet the team

Maz Mahmoudi

Hi I’m Maz!

Some may say that I am a destroyer, but really I’m a fun lovin criminal! I work hard and play harder.

Being an Iranian South Londoner doesn’t mean I tan very well but my big hair keeps me warm on the cold winter days.

I started 3equals1 Design in 2010 and am loving doing the weird and wonderful creative things that get thrown at us.

Anouschka Walker

Hi, I’m Anouschka

I’m of mixed Swiss and English heritage and love creating, whether it’s cooking or crafts, with constantly a project on the go. I’m also an animal lover, and the new baby in my family is a 3-year-old bearded collie, who keeps me fit while I’m trying to keep him out of trouble.

As a design professional, I’m a strong and steady pair of hands, with over 20 years experience in the industry. Along with bringing my wrinkles, I aim to inject structure alongside creativity, harnessing style and innovation to an understanding of the client’s needs, ultimately delivering an interior that’s both attractive and practical.

As you can probably see from my name I’m born and raised in the country of tulips and windmills, not too far from Amsterdam.

Since November 2017 I live in crazy London and so far the parks, pubs, museums, the great London atmosphere and obviously my work make me feel home in this part of the world! In 2015, I graduated as an interior designer at ArtEZ institute of architecture, in the Netherlands.

I used to think that after University I would go and explore a career in product design somewhere in Europe as I love to travel, but central London was too tempting and now I live and work in the heart of it. My favourite projects are those where the final design helps the user live abetter life. My design style is minimal with smart functionality hidden out of sight.

Other than designing, I like to try out new sports and I’m aiming to explore as much of the world as possible, both above and below sea-level.

With an intense passion for design guiding me through life, whether it was for Architecture, super cars, or yachts, I decided interior design was an opportunity I wanted to explore, with a love for intriguing materials and contemporary designs.

The 2-year blip in everyone’s life that was *Cough COVID… inspired me to get into workplace design to help get people back in the office to collaborate and socialise, a vital part of life we all need and missed. My aim is to inspire the workforce, and to provide you with a cool funky office that you can gloat to your friends about.

Hannah Fowke

Hi I am Hannah!

I am known around the office as the intern who never left! :) But I am known to my friends and family as adventurous, determined and just a little bit of a weirdo. I have been designing since I knew how to hold a pen, from when I used to make my friends space plan on playdates to digging through the rubbish to create 'cool' sculptures. Through my education of Design Technology I fell in love with the idea of sustainability and it is something that to this day I advocate throughout my work.

When I am not designing I can be found chilling with my dog, visiting cool galleries and parks, and loving a good Friday night out sometimes Satuday too :)

Being able to choose from a diverse range of styles within the team is a huge advantage to potential clients

We are a team of creative individuals who each have their own style but importantly we work well together. Fostering an environment in which the individual styles and personalities of our team are allowed to prosper benefits the overall output of the team and helps us maximise the synergies that we possess.

Indeed, by allowing our own individual styles to flourish in a co-operative team environment, we can cater for a broad spectrum of clients with varying tastes. Evaluating who is best suited for each client means the success of the project is given a higher priority than the ego.
